Over the past two and a half years, Basin Clinic has partnered with The Advisory Group of McCormick Chase & May to thoughtfully plan for the future of health care in the West End. This work has been grounded in a shared commitment to listening, learning, and aligning health services with what matters most to the people who call this region home.
Listening to Community voices
Basin Clinic also participated in the West End Vision Project, where residents, leaders, and stakeholders came together to shape a collective vision for the future. Access to quality, local health care emerged as one of the community’s most pressing and consistent priorities—highlighting the essential role health services play in a thriving West End.
Building a healthier future together
Through this collaborative and community‑driven process, a clear path forward emerged. The West End would be stronger, more resilient, and better served with a Critical Access Hospital at its heart. In response, the decision was made to pursue the formation of a health service district—creating a sustainable framework to deliver accessible, high‑quality care close to home for generations to come.
